VOLVO P1800 1966 FABULOUS ORIGINAL CAR JUST DRIVEN BACK FROM SWEDEN

Just brought back from Sweden, a comfortable drive  down the west coast in 5th gear overdrive, through Denmark and into London. This is a fabulous original 1966 Volvo P1800S sports coupe. Sit comfortably, nice and low, in the cherry red leather interior and just relax. Love it when you just flick the 5th gear over-drive and feel that surge in power.

The car has been owned by the same gentleman in Sweden for over 20 years and he kept it in a dry garage. He originally imported it as a right hand drive vehicle from the UK and it remains a right-hand drive. The bodywork is in Amazon Grey, one of the original Volvo colours. There is no rust showing. There is a small crack in the paintwork underneath the back window. The engine bay is very clean and tidy. Underneath the floor pan is very solid - no patchwork qulit here!

One of the most reknowned Volvo experts and restorers in Sweden remarked that this car is the best mechanically that he has ever driven. It runs very smoothly and easily. A new filter and fuel pump has just been added and the footbrake sharpened.

We will receive the yellow registration paper from Sweden this week (beginning Oct 22nd) and the car will be MOT'd immediately.

This is the perfect car for a show-stopping restoration project to take it back to concourse condition. Or if you just want to jump in and drive it away and use it on a daily basis. Every stop on the journey back from Sweden brought out lots of admirers and comments - this car is a real head-turner! A very elegant, smooth and sophisticated drive.
