Vespa PX125 in black 58 plate long T&T

For auction is my vespa PX 125 in black with both electric and kick start.

First registered 31/12/08 by Vin Cunningham Motorcycles in Darwen who is a Piaggio dealer.

The bike was then sold  brand new to the first owner on 05/02/09 so did not even hit the road til 2009.

I then bought the scooter on 13/07/10.

Tax to 30/11/12

14267 kilometres which is just under 9000 miles, this may go up slightly as scooter still in use.

As can be seen in the photo's i have added a few nice extra's to compliment the scooter, which are a corsa seat that i had professionally recovered in black with red piping, this seat alone stands me at £150. Carbon effect centre plate, kickstart and tax disc holder, Schwalbe tyres (plenty of tread left), I had both wheels refurbished, sito plus exhaust professionally fitted and jetted accordingly (last summer), spare wheel and cover which is a near match to the seat, the vespa badges have been painted red and a smaller number plate added which is road legal ,i also have the original one. All this has cost me just under £500 to do.

I took the scooter to Serious Scootering in Preston yesterday 30/04/12 where it was serviced and fully checked over prior to sale. There was no issues at all with the scooter and everything is spot on nothing needs doing. The scooter has been used regularly and has never let me down always been reliable.

The scooter has been fitted with aftermarket mirrors after somebody decided to snap one of the original ones of, these bolt on underneath. The existing holes have been covered with black rubbers which are made specially for these holes. 

The scooter has been used so don't expect it to be brand new but i would say it is in very good condition and certainly better than most as it is only just over 3 years old. I have always garaged it since i've owned it and maintained it, there are a couple of scratches here and there but nothing that really stands out, just general use related marks. There is a little bit of bubbling on the seam of frame and footplates, nothing serious and certainly not rusty I've had four vespas and it seems a common place for them to bubble. There is a decal on the glovebox door which can be removed if req'd i will let the winning bidder decide whether they want to keep it on.

I have given an honest description of the scooter and expect the same honesty from the winning bidder, please only bid if you intend to go through with the sale. Any viewing or inspection is more than welcome as i have nothing to hide, this is a private sale i'm not a dealer and i'm not selling of behalf of mate etc.

The only reason that i am selling this scooter is because due to the mounting fuel costs i'm relying more on it for work rather than driving my van everyday. After doing this i now want to go back to a motorbike, more for comfort and speed as i travel 40 miles a day, as you know vespas aren't the quickest or most comfy modes of transport. I also have a young family and many commitments, so haven't had the chance to attend any rideouts or rallys over the past year, sad to say but i'm giving up the 10 inch wheels and going to the darkside.

Very reasonable reserve which is a hell of alot less than a dealer would be asking for this scooter, check out the pictures and bid what it is worth to you.

Forgot to mention i will be out of the country from the 11th May but be back by the 15th. This gives the winning bidder three days after auction to collect if this is not possible, no worries but obviously you will have to wait til the 15th. I lost the key for the seat about a year ago but it has never bothered me, just so you know. I have the original bill of sale and original folder with manual etc along with the spare key.
