Here is 'Myvanwee' my much loved caravan. I am reluctantly selling, but it's time for an upgrade.
I have had Myvanwee for 3 years now and bought her off friends who had her for a year and did her up. All her cupboards are painted cream and the walls and ceiling are a lovely baby blue. Her curtains and seating have all been redone.
She is a 2 birth Eccles Topaz and I am told is 1979.
She has the following:
A bathroom with a sink and a bucket type toilet seat. I put organic stuff in the toilet so it can just go in the hedge rose, very handy at night!
A kitchen with a grill, two gas hobs, sink and lots of cupboard space. There is cupboard space above and below.
A wardrobe, painted pink inside...
A little gas heater, but it hasn't worked since I have had it. I haven't got around to getting it fixed.
A fridge, which does work.
An electric hook up.
A huge and wonderfully comfortable bed. There are slates of wood which go across the bottom and it is bigger than a King Size bed.
One of the best features! I will miss this one is that there is a built in stereo. It is like the stereo in a car with a tape converter that you can plug into an MP3 player and it plays through the speakers in the caravan. My new caravan doesn't have this...I have no idea what I will do..
Loads of storage space, she has quite a bit of storage space, under the seats, above the kitchen (including somewhere to hang your wine glasses) and open storage above the seats.
A table...The hinges did break off these and I have fixed them wood filler. It looks a bit rubbish underneath but you can't see when the table is up and it does the job.
A brand new heavy duty jockey wheel. I bought this in the last two weeks.
A skylight which opens.
All the windows open and there are no leaks, cracks etc on any of the windows.
A brand new door lock, this was fitted yesterday as the other one was broken.
All the electrics have been checked by my mechanic and the water pump fixed. So basically all the electrics work and run off a leisure battery and electric hook up. There are two plugs. The light in the bathroom, living room, kitchen, water pump for the sink and stereo all work off the leisure battery. The fridge, plugs and extra lights work off 240v, the electric hook up. The leisure battery does need replacing as it is old now.
A wheel lock.
A spare tyre.
There is a gas bottle included but this is empty. It is about £16 for a refill.
Both the rear lights are a bit broken. They aren't even that old! I have put tape on them and they are fine. They are only about £10-15 each to replace.
The electric hook to the car works, so basically the rear lights, break lights and indicators. I have been away in her recently and it is all working.
The right hazard triangle is missing.
There are a few dents and things, mainly at the back. The back is a bit tatty and there is a bit of rust here and there. I haven't looked underneath so not sure what that's like. I have resprayed on the brown stripes but didn't get around to doing the ones on the front or back.
One of the cupboard handles has been partly snapped off but it still works.
One of the kitchen cupboard doors doesn't shut, it just needs to be rehung as it does shut if you lift it up I just haven't got around to it.
I guess the main issue which does need sorting out is that she has damp. There is a leak coming through the skylight and there is damp on that part of the ceiling, behind the fridge and on the wall. Hopefully this is shown in the photos. However this is the only place where there is damp. There are no leaks etc anywhere else.
The kitchen contents are not included, or the blanket, sock monkey benny and nick nacks.
The caravan is sold as seen and I would recommend coming to see her if you are not sure. I have tried to describe her as best I can and also provided lots of photos. I am more than happy for people to view before they bid but you can't change your mind once the auction has ended. I live in Easton in Bristol. My number is Sadie 07967738339.
I expect payment by cash on collection. Myvanwee needs to be collected within a week of the auction ending.
