Vintage LINGARD WEBSTER Teapot 'WISHING WELL' 1940's HAND PAINTED C.1946

Victorian and Vintage

  Victorian and Vintage eBay Shop

Description - This is a fabulous vintage teapot that was produced by Lingard & Webster in the back half of the 1940's. The teapot has a pale creamy  base and is crafted in the shape of a delightful wishing well with the lid forming the lid of the well - there is brickwork with some bricks coloured in shades of green, brown and pale grey with some black outlines. The lower section of the pot are decorated with flowers and grass; there is even a mushroom and a cute brown rabbit. The pot handle is angular in shape. The lid features a painted bar in yellow and black with a sign over the top that states ' Ye Olde Wishing Well'. The teapot would look especially good in a vintage, shabby chic or country cottage setting. What a treat for friends at afternoon tea!!!

A delightful vintage teapot!!!

Dimensions - The teapot measures 5.6" (14 cm) in height and measures 7" (18 cm) from spout to handle. It has a 6 cup capacity.

Markings - The base bears the makers printed mark.

Condition - The teapot is in great condition - there are no cracks or chips and the colours are still clear and vibrant. There is age related crazing to the pot but it is still fully usable and displays very well indeed.

Please see photographs for extra descriptive detail.

I have more items for sale and I offer combined postage, where feasible, to anyone buying more than one item so do take a look!!!
