Here we have for sale our VW T4 Transporter 50 YEARS ANNIVERSARY van...

LIMITED EDITION! T4 TRANSPORTER.  THIS VAN HAS THE BENEFIT OF 2 SIDE SLIDING DOORS, ELECTRIC WINDOWS & MIRRORS... ALLOY WHEELS... CENTRAL LOCKING... 1900cc TURBO DIESEL...2000 X REG..., 5 SPEED MANUEL, POWER STEERING... ONE PIECE TAILGATE. ARMREST CAPTAINS SEATS... MOT TILL NOV, TAX TILL AUGUST....161,700 MILES.

Please note the van is not brand new and there are the usual blistering, some scratches here and there but in general the van is in good condition. Main bad points are...On first start up the van smokes but clears quickly, doesn't smoke whist driving. The manifold has a crack in it. My garage says replace it when it falls off! Meaning if I can live with it don't bother! They estimated £200 for a second hand one to be put on. I've not had it done due to new baby. Cam belt, water pump and clutch fitted last year. I now rarely use the van and I had all intentions of keeping it but the new addition to the family means I need to get a car! And have one project at a time as we have a type two camper.


There is a hole on the edge of the drivers seat. I have bought at a cost of £400 a 3 seater bench with 3x3 seat belts fitted rear facing so I could get my bikes & stuff in!

All test drives/ viewing before bidding welcome. You bid to buy. No tyre kickers Deposit of £100 with in 48hours. All payments to clear before I let the van go or cash on collection.

Thanks to those who have called and text.I thought i'd share some of the most common question...

The van runs great the manifold has a very slight blow and has been like this for a while but if it wasn't for the smoke when it first starts, you wouldn't notice. The van runs, pulls and cruises no probs. I have been told its the crack that makes it smoke only on start up. I have also been told I could "drop a weld on it!" meaning not having to replace the manifold.

The O/S sliding door is factory fitted! 

The Model on log book says 1000 TD SWB

This is a genral (I'm gutted!) reason for sale.We have a type two for over 10 years and thats our project so to say. we have a family car now and can't really keep all the vechicles.

 

Limited edition van I'm going to see if I can find out if it's the anniversary van and I'll doubt you will find another as it was luck what bought it to me, as I realised what type of van it was when I bought it 3 years a go.

 

Also the van has just been washed in the pictures it does look great but as I said there are age related marks and blistering (not that bad!) trying to be honest.

 

The van cruises no probs at 70/80 mph. last two weekends have been biking/kiting in Brighton.
