1940's vintage white and red, candy cane stripe, cotton chenille robe. This robe is so cute, and in such great condition! It has wonderful 40's cut to the robe with features such as shawl collar, puff shoulder with full cut sleeves, one side pocket, a sewn on belt, that ties at the waist, and a nice full sweeping skirt. The belt is two strips, sewn each, on the side at the waist. It also has small inside ties, at the waist. It has one large pocket on the outside, right hand side. This robe is so cute and it looks as if it could have been worn in a I Love Lucy show. It is in excellent vintage condition, with no rips, stains, holes, or damage that I could find. The 100% cotton chenille fabric is very plush and thick. It looks and feels as if it were hardly ever worn. I am guessing the size to be a medium, but I will give the approximate measurements as follows: Underarm to underarm is: 20" across. Waist is 16" inches across. Shoulder to shoulder is 18" inches across. Sleeve length from shoulder seam to bottom of sleeve is 26" inches long. Length from under the collar to the waist is 19" inches long. Length from the waist to the bottom hem is 43" inches long. The sweep along the bottom hem is 88" inches around. Shipping, for US buyers: I ship USPS priority mail only.
