If the packaging shows any serious damage it is highly possible the item inside is damaged. If upon receipt of your item you notice any damage to the packaging report this to the delivery person before signing.

At this point the delivery paperwork must be marked "DAMAGED IN TRANSIT" and get the driver to sign this also.
