This stylish high quality cranked Sparta 2 handle from Trojan is developed for window espagnolette and shoot bolt locking mechanisms. The handle is die cast Zinc powder coated and the plastic parts include UV stabalised ABS. Part of the Sparta 2 suite of door furniture.

The Sparta 2 Espag handle is manufactured to an ergonomic design featuring a soft grip and a tight radius under the lever. This extends the effective length of the grip, giving optimal comfort and feel during use. A metal spindle in the espag handle is fixed to the lever, runs through the handle backplate and fits into a lock mechanism within the sash. Turning the lever rotates the spindle and triggers the mechanism, which in turn locks or unlocks the window.

Each handle includes: 1x key, 1x screw hole cover plate, 1 key cover plate (converts the handle to non-locking) and 2x screws.

Choosing a window handle

Espag handles follow a common standard and are therfore interchangable. So, choosing a different handle design from your existing shouldn't be a problem. Just be sure that the spindle length is the same and that the handle is the same handing - you can not replace a left-hand cranked handle with a right-hand cranked handle. These handles are inline, neither left-hand nor right-hand cranked and so can be used either way round.

Another consideration is distance between backplate screws - on this handle it's 43mm from centre to centre.

This handle features a non-locking keyhole cover to convert the handle into a non-locking version. This is a great idea where you want all the handles to match but want to ensure a fire exit route is never locked etc.

Returns - If your order is received faulty or you have changed your mind about the item/s you received, we offer a full refund policy in compliance with the Distance Selling Regulations (2000). Please advise of any return requests in writing via email, messaging or returns system via eBay within 7 working days after the goods have been delivered, (notification by phone is not acceptable). The goods must be returned to us within 28 days of receiving your item. The return postage is non-refundable, unless goods received are faulty. Please ensure they are returned in re-saleable condition, with all original packaging and protective bags, however small. Once we have received the goods back a full refund will be issued through the original means of payment i.e. PayPal, Credit/Debit card. Bespoke and goods made to the customers specification such as extra keys for cylinders and polycarbonate sheets are non – refundable.

Shipping - Orders are dispatched within 24 hours of payment Monday to Friday. All orders where payment is received before 1.00pm will be dispatched the same day. Any orders received after 1pm on Friday will not be processed and dispatched until Monday (except Bank Holiday Mondays or national holidays).

The rates you see for economy and standard delivery are available for all UK postcodes. Next day or get it fast is not available for the following postcode areas:-
