Great badge,super fast service,thank you.AAA

Friendly correspondence and prompt despatch - Thanks

Very nice item, friendly and immediate service. Highly recommended!

Now for the gumpf!

Firstly be happy with the postage price{ROYAL MAIL SET THESE PRICES NOT ME!}.If you think its too much, then it is simple,do not bid.I am fed up with sneaky low scoring DSR's left by people who do not realise that the price charged is what i get charged by the Post Office or what they have paid before waiting for the invoice. So if you think it is too much, then just don't bid.Sorry to all the good ebayers out there that understand this. :-)

IMPORTANT.Please note that I do not pack items until the end of auction. So please be patient and don't request total for your P&P through ebay,as I WILL contact YOU within 48hrs.Check your email system is working correctly as i always send within this time.

*****VERY IMPORTANT***** Please DO NOT PAY until you have received the invoice,as the postage price can vary{please see the reason for this below}.This saves so much work for me and you.

I will always use the most economical insured post.Where possible i will combine multiple purchases into the same parcel.

****Please be aware that if an item sells for more than £500 outside of the UK{SOME COUNTRIES INCLUDING CHINA, ISRAEL, SOUTH AFRICA,NIGERIA THIS APPLIES ON ITEMS OVER £250}then the postage price will be considerably more. This is because Royal mail international signed for only insures up to £500{AND £250 ON SOME COUNTRIES}.I will have to use a firm such as Parcelforce.****

                                    MONEY SAVER !!!!!!

UK Buyers:- If an item that sells for over £500 is paid by cheque or bank to bank transfer then I will pay the postage.

I am really sorry about the next bit :-(

The reason for me writing this,is because all of this takes so much more time and makes so much more work for me when it is incorrectly done.I am sorry for writing this next paragraph as i know the majority of Ebayers do wait for the invoice. :-)

*****Please be aware that i will not send you the item until the FULL postage amount has been paid to me.This is because i sell on behalf of customers and they do not refund me the difference if i am underpaid by you. Please also understand that if you pay too much postage because YOU decide TO PAY and not wait for the invoice then i will no longer refund the difference. So please do not use the feedback option to say the postage was too much when YOU paid the postage amount shown on the listing without waiting to get the final correct price. Also the Royal Mail set the postal prices, not me and i do show all my charges up front.Thank you.*****

Please be agreeable to my payment methods before bidding. If you cannot use one of these methods, please do not bid.

I am not an expert on any of the items listed and have described them the best i can,so please feel free to ask me any questions.

I do not accept offers for items on sale so please do not waste your time or mine by asking me for a buy it now price.

Please leave feedback after you have received your item and are happy with it.I will respond with mine within two weeks.

Please also read my other terms and conditions below.Thank you very much for your help and patience{it just saves so much extra work! :-) }.

This plaque was awarded to THOMAS BLACKBURN. The Victory medal is named 26/54.PTE.T.BLACKBURN.NORTH'D.FUS.

Here is some information about this brave man.

Thomas Blackburn was born in Choppington, near Ashington, Northumberland in July 1899, the 1911 census records he is a 12 year old schoolboy residing at 28 Kitty Brewster, Tynemouth, Northumberland with his father Robert a 55 year old Coal Miner born in Ireland, a widower, his elder brother John a 21 year old Coal Miner and older sister Isabella. Thomas Blackburn must have enlisted aged just 16 years one of the first to join the 26th (3rd Tyneside Irish) Battalion enlisting at Ashington, the Battalion arrived in France in January 1916.

On 1st July the 3rd Tyneside Irish were part of 103rd Brigade, 34th Division and took part in the attack on La Boiselle, moving forward from assembly trenches near Tara Redoubt. After the firing of 'Y' Sap Mine 20th, 23rd and 25th Northumberland Fusiliers following attacked down Marsh Valley across some 800 yards of no man's land. The War Diary records 'A' and 'B' Companies in front, 'B' and 'D' Companies in reserve. The men advanced as if on parade, under heavy Machine Gun and shell fire. The attack was cut down by Machine Gun fire from Ovillers, La Boisselle and trenches on the right of the attack. A few isolated parties made the front line German trenches but were all killed. Owing to high casualties the attack came to a standstill, small parties held out in shell holes in no man's land until the next day when what was left of the Battalion was relieved and to Belle Vue Farm.

Thomas Blackburn was just 17 years old he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.

Please see my other listing for another 1st Day of the Somme casualty which is also listed seperately.

Returns policy

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are at all unhappy with your purchase.I will do my utmost to rectify the problem.

If an item is not as described I will accept it back for a full refund, provided it is returned to me in the condition I supplied it to you . Otherwise, sales are Final.

I do make a small charge for packing, but, (please see my feedback), I use bubble wrap and packing chips in abundance, to protect the item from the possibility of rough handling, which could damage the item. Postage or collection
Once you have paid for your item I will post it to you the following Tuesday or Thursday,or you are very welcome to collect it, by appointment. Shipment is outside of my control and is the responsibility of the carrier, that is why I WILL ALWAYS use insured post.

Please do not worry if by chance your item gets lost in the post,I will do all the chasing up and try my hardest to locate it for you.If unfortunately it does go completely missing, then I will refund you and deal with the postal service myself.

I always obtain proof of posting and I use the following services - items up to £46.00 in value - Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery. - items over £46.00 in value - Royal Mail Special Delivery (which guarantees next day delivery and provides three levels of possible compensation up to a market value of £10,000.) - large, non-fragile items - it may be more economical to use insured Parcel Post, although this is slower (please allow allow five days for delivery).I send all international parcels by International Signed for post or Parcelforce Worldwide. These services mentioned are all trackable.

I will always use the most econimical way of posting.

Unacceptable bids
I regret that i cannot accept bids from anyone with ZERO FEEDBACK and/or NEW USER ,OR CHANGED ID unless :-  1.They contact me with details of their Ebay ID, full name, address and telephone number and 2. I have subsequently contacted them in order to check their genuineness and I have agreed to accept their bids.IF you DO NOT do this then I will cancel your bid and block the bidder name. This is because of the unfortunate case of there being some total timewasters out there.

I am really sorry for all this information but thank you for taking note of the auction conditions and if you are happy to comply with them, I wish you success in this auction.Kev
