The 1940's RAF Sector clock 

This is the most striking design from WW2, made famous during the Battle of Britain as "the clock that saved the world"

 These beautiful & substantial clocks have metal bezels with hinge, carefully aged to match the authentic and accurate dial. A real metal ,non-functioning winder is set into the face.

Every effort has been made to make these clocks look  genuinely antique. You are not buying a mass produced item but a hand finished and carefully detailed original.

The clock is fitted with a shallow stand-off back that stands the main body away from the wall for the authentic look. This is easily removed to make the clock more kitchen friendly if required  in  a couple of minutes - (just remove 4 wood screws)- to turn it into a flush-to-wall type  - (see photo #4 for how this looks)  Full instructions are included.

Ellis & Co. ( Ellisclocks ) is a traditional clockmaker working the old fashioned way, but incorporating modern techniques and materials to produce products of rare character and presence that are affordable but would not look out of place in a museum or 1940's airfield. The faces are exact copies of original designs, down to the correct colour of the faded crackled background and perfectly proportioned numerals. The cases are made to a traditional English turned design using synthetic materials and UV resistant lacquers to simulate the rich colour of antique wood.

We think the old craftspeople got it right.  We have just used magic and our nifty time machine to create the true antique look of a beautiful old object. You will find that the effort is worth it.
