Pair of apertured garage doors pack

This pack includes made to measure apertured garage doors any size up to 84"(high) x 96"(width) with frame and ironmongery pack, all of which are listed in detail below. For full details on these doors click here. The dispatch time for this item is 2 to 6 weeks depending how busy we are.

Doors Specification

Manufactured from joinery grade kiln dried Scandinavian redwood pine.We use a mix of unsorted grade which the highest availible, and 5ths which is the next highest grade.
The frame of the doors is made from unsorted grade.
The boards, ledges and braces are 5ths grade.
44mm thick, Frame, Ledged and Braced construction.
12mm thick Matchboarding, 26mm thick Backrails. Good solid construction.
Rebated meeting stiles. You can pick which door opens first.
To be side hung, usually with hooks and bands. From this store you can buy the basic setup to swing and secure these doors.
The matchboards, ledges and braces are clear Vac-Vac treated. This means that an anti-fungal, anti-rot and anti-insect treatment has been pressurized into the timber throughout the door. This will vastly extend the life of the doors as the preserver will protect the doors behind the paint or stain finish. All you need to do is prime and finish, with Varnish or Paint to form the sealing coat.
Apertured for glazing. Glass and beading sold seperately in our ebay shop.

Ironmongery Specification

All components are either galvanised, brass or zinc plated, which is better against the elements.

A 5 lever (BS3621:2004) lock with rebate kit and one pair of black antique style handles.
2no. 18" garage door drop bolts: galvanised.
A 10" tower bolt: galvanised.
All screws and bolts for the above: zinc plated.
2 Pairs of Hot Spelter Galvanised 20" Cranked Hook and Band Hinges - We always recommend the use of galvanised hinges. If you require black hinges you are much better off painting these than using black coated. This is because once the black coating has worn the hinge will rust very quickly.

Frame Specification

This frame kit consists of enough timber to make up a garage door frame to suit the doors and is detailed below.

3 Lengths of 95x69mm planed timber. This is to line the brickwork and complete the outer frame, this is where you secure your hinges to.
3 Lengths of 44x20mm planed timber. This is to form a rebate around the doors to give them something to shut against.
The frame will be mortice and tenonned to your door size for easy installation.
