Not TTL function but power output can be easily controlled. A couple of test shots will determine a decent exposure.

yeah excellent flash works great would recommend perfect answer to buying expensive dedicated flash guns has been working very well for me for a good while now and had no issues
I enjoyed learning how to judge the strength of the flash by turning the switch. I used it first at RHS wisley for photgraphing butterflies. I have already ordered the YN560 and lookforward to learning how to use that.
Good "strobist" style manual flashgun. reasonable recharge rate, good continuosly variable manual control. An excellent low-cost, basic, manual flashgun. I brought mine to test to start thinking about replacing my off-camera flash studio setup with these. This is going to be modified to work with 6v sla batteries and if successful I will be replacing my aging vivitars with yongnuo's both this model and the 5xx series. So far a good beginning, but I have heard tales of durability problems. For the price and for my intended use an excellent purchase.
Flash does its job. I have a canon 50d. Not the best flash but very good specially if we look at the price. The only downside is when using the full power of the flash, it takes a long time to load, as well as photography can not be sustained. But half the listed heavily when using flash, flash most of the time charged. Battery life is short. But beyond that the product is excellent, excellent for the beginner photographer. This product might be useful for relatively experiences photographer, especially as secondary flash. The weak part here is the battery cap - looking like will be broken soon by accident. For me it's great and inexpensive product with great value for money.
