For sale here is my YT International P-38, a reluctant sale but due to personal commitments it needs to go to a new home. Please ask questions if in doubt about anything with regards to this bird! This is a big model aircraft and will need to be collected from me between the 1st of Feb - 24th Feb around the Epsom area, Junction 9 off the M25, KT186JW postcode. Please message me to ensure a suitable arrangement can be met!
Ok for some details of this model:
Span: 2115mm (tips pf the wings removable after the engine nacelle towards the wingtip).
Engines: 2x Saito 72FA 4 strokes
Fuel dots for refuel/defuel as seen in pics
Air up/Air down retracts
1 servo for the Elevator, 1 servo each aileron, 1 servo each flap, 1 servo each rudder, 1 servo for retract valve, 1 servo for the nose wheel steering.... 9 in all
All servos fitted, new JR NES 591 on the elevator! 6v Nimh Reciever battery fitted last season (used approx 6 flights as thats all she flew last year). New fuel line plumbing fitted last year too as well as the remote glow plugs to make it easier to fit a glow driver during engine start. I serviced the engines (valve gap clearance etc) around this time too and after run oil has always been used after engine running/flying!
As you can see by the pics this model has done a lot of flying and there is hangar rash and bumbs here and there but this does not effect the flight performance in any way - purely a cosmetic feature! Another thing to note is the nose wheel ply retract mount had started to crack so I have glassed this area. The nose wheel retract itself has (Blue unit in photo 12) stripped threads on the bolts holding the unit together. This is easily repairable with some new cheap M3 nuts and bolts if you want to fit the original unit! However also included in this auction is a Robart nose wheel retract if you would rather use this, or use it in another model!! All you need to do is fix the retract unit back into its place... see pics! Oh yes there is a new set of trike wire oleo legs, 4mm dia. purely for spares or another model.
The sound of the two Saito's on this machine is awesome, the flying characteristics of this warbird are superb! A true rush and much fun to fly I can assure you, you wont be dissapointed!
No reciever is included in the auction or any starting equipment/fuel. Please read the listing carefully and ask questions before bidding! No time wasters please!! This is not a beginners model! Serious modellers with sound knowledge on flying and operating such machines is highly reccomended!
NO I WONT POST!!

Just another update after some questions... I have removed the cowlings so one can see the engines etc. I hope these pictures do the model more justice! Due to incliment weather I can only take pics indoors : - (
In these pictures you can see the 2 new props and also I have another retract air valve filler should you wish to use this to fill the air tank. The Robart nose wheel retract is a 90 deg one!
