Yamaha Autolube 50HP 2 stroke outboard engine.
Probably about 1994 build, mechanically sound when removed from boat last week. I am selling as have recently purchased a four stroke engine.
There is a crack in the leg attachment where bolted to the transom mount (see photo). This has been filled at some stage, it does not affect the use of the engine however would be of benefit to replace the leg cowling. Otherwise in reasonable condition for year, would be advisable to have a full service completed though before use unless you are buying for spares.
Cash on collection preferred, however I can secure the engine to a pallet if you arrange your own courier. The item is located near St Andrews, Fife. Inspection welcome.
Thanks for looking, please ask questions,

1. I have fitted the engine onto the boat this morning to give it a run, starts well, however there is an HT lead that requires replacement.
2. The exhaust was emitting a fair amount of smoke at start.
3. Cooling water tell tale slightly warm.
4. Side mount control and control runs plus all wiring included in the sale.
Please be advised that this is an early 1990s outboard with no service history or other paperwork. It is offered for sale on the understanding that the item will require a full service prior to use. Any questions please email.
Thanks for looking, Neil.

The electrics loom is all there except for the battery terminals (at the battery end of the wires) which I have cut off and therefore need replacing. This was due to the way the rest of the boat wiring is situated, easy enough to connect two new heavy duty battery terminals appropriate to the size of your battery. The engine is now on a pallet with the control runs wrapped around the engine and the electrics under the cowling. Thanks, Neil.
