Yamaha WR450F WR 450 2010 model - 60 Reg - running in milage only!!!

2010 model Yamaha WR450F, road registered on a ’60 plate on 29th October 2010.

This bike was purchased as a ‘spare’ for UK Dakar Rally rider Jenny Morgan, for her 2011 Dakar campaign in South America, but was un-used other than a brief period to run in the engine (approximately 600-800 miles use only).

Unfortunately Jenny suffered a serious accident on the 4th Stage of the Dakar in 2011, and post surgery is currently preparing her campaign to return to The Dakar in 2013. The sale of this machine will help directly fund her future campaign.

The price offers a MASSIVE saving over the list price of a new 2010/11 machine (Currently £7299), while the new 2012 model is of course even more expensive.

This bike has the original [brand new] plastics fitted as the running-in milage was done with bodywork from her race bike to preserve the new plastics. The bike was also fitted with the speedometer from the race bike so as to preserve the new clocks, that will have zero milage showing.

The bike is standard original specification, and will include brand new [unused] OEM road-legal Metzler 6-Days Extreme enduro tyres and tubes - note. the bike has been photographed with part-worn Michelin Desert tyres fitted, as these were used during the running-in period, and to preserve the OEM tyres.

As you can see from the photographs, the bike is essentially as new - the only blemish is on the engine case above the gear shift lever, where the black paint has rubbed off - those who a familiar with these bikes will know that the paint there rubs off the first time you ride the thing!

MOT not due until October 2013, bike is currently on SORN.
