I bought this item as it is cheap for a beginner like me. But the thing is, it cannot capture fast shutter speed as it will a dark line below the picture. More quality flash could handle this problem. So,as long as don't need to capture fast moving subjects using this flash, then it shouldn't be a problem. The battery-life span using this gadget is okay, and using three modes for various picture capturing is indeed fun. Using the power meter to set the flash power is quite handy.
Super unit for the price, I'll probably buy another soon. The battery compartment cover may well break off. but the M mode, S mode and even the S2 mode is great. This this price I hope they sell many more and more photographers get into manual off camera lighting - its fab. Also look at there more expensive newer mode for more power. And look at cheap radio triggers to use it with.
Bought for the wife, who seems to be pleased with the product. So I am happy : ) Have been slowly building the accessories for the camera and this has helped improve the lighting quality of the photo's. The product is very easy to use and easily stored in the camera bag.
