Will my book be exactly as pictured?
Maybe, maybe not!!! All photographs shown are eBay stock photos and are supplied by eBay, not by us. COVERS MAY VARY. If this is important to you, please e-mail us before purchasing so we can check it out for you
Do you sell new books?
No, never, well hardly ever. If the book is new, it will be clearly listed as new
Will the book make a suitable present?
NO!!! Buy a new one from a new book seller you old meany. Our books will be fully readable and often in very good condition but they will not be new (unless stated) and will therefore not look new. If you buy it as a present you're going to have to explain yourself to the recipient!
Do you employ humans?
Yes!! This means that your book really has been graded by a real human being who is staking his reputation on the accuracy of that grading but it also means that we do make very occasional mistakes. If you think your book has been wrongly graded, tell us and we'll sort it out for you!
OK, so what do you mean by "Very Good" condition?
We mean that we have looked at the book and have discovered no significant faults. It will obviously have been read but any creasing or tanning will be at a minimum level and there should be no spotting to the page edges or anything ugly like that. However, we only check the inside if there is a reason to do so. All study books will have been checked as will all poetry books etc and all books are fully checked internally before posting. However, your book may have a previous owner's name in the front or a dedication wishing Aunt Sally a happy birthday. At these prices, we do not feel that dedications should affect your enjoyment of the book in any way at all
And what do you mean by "Good" condition?
Well, obviously worse than Very Good for starters! We'd like to call it average but eBay doesn't have an average category! Usually, "Good" books will have some definite fault marking them out as worse. This may be more creasing, small rips to dust jackets, some page edge marks like spotting or just general tattyness. You know the sort of thing. What we do guarantee is that the book will be complete, fully readable and unannotated
Do you offer UK postage discounts?
Oh come on guvnor, give us a break. What, at these prices? Cor, you drive a hard bargain. Have you seen Royal Mail prices recently. Go on then, seeing as its you and you'll be back for more soon won't you? 50p off every book after the first! But please do us a favour in return. In order to receive the discount YOU MUST MAKE ONLY ONE PAYPAL PAYMENT FOR ALL OF YOUR BOOKS. It is not cheaper to post additional items but we can make savings on Paypal fees which are charged per transaction. This is automated at checkout so you won't need to request the discount. Please note that your books will be posted in the cheapest way possible so may come all together or in separate packages depending on their weight and size
What about overseas postage discounts?
Yes, our international friends get the same discount but this cannot be automated through the eBay system so please hit the "Reqest an Invoice" button and we'll do the rest for you
What about postage on large quantities?
Again, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU MAKE ONLY ONE PAYPAL PAYMENT and if you buy 12 books or more AND YOU LIVE ON MAINLAND UK, we'll do your postage for a maximum of £10. This cannot be automated through the eBay systems so you will need to request an amended invoice. Your books will then be sent by courier and may take 4-6 working days to arrive
When will I get my book?
We promise we will do our bit and ALL books will be packed and posted on the first working day following receipt of your payment. However, the rest is down to the postmen. Please don't expect your book to arrive as quickly as a letter as packets seem to take just a little longer. 95% of our books to the UK are delivered within four working days but this does still mean that 5% take longer. Royal Mail seem to offer the ultimate postcode lottery!! Overseas books should take around seven working days to Europe except for Italy where you could probably walk to us and collect it more quickly! Outside Europe it is usually 10 working days or more.
I've got my book but I'm not happy. What do I do?
Well, we're only almost perfect. Things do go wrong from time to time so you'll be pleased to know that we offer a 30 day money back guarantee on all items so just e-mail us and we'll help you out
