The Duel of Life and Death
Mostly you wouldn't find me writing a review but i'm not that busy so here goes. With Yugioh the Movie, once you see it once you have to go back and see it again!! After they stop showing it in the Cinema's I had to buy it on ebay. Well just for the those who want to know how much i watched it, I watched it 257.5 times. Yes to me it's that good!! What I loved about the Movie was the other story created from the normal Yugioh on TV, so i wasn't lost but the Blue Eyes Shinning Dragon was magnificent!! I got him in my deck now. Also the introduction of the Three SPHINX, was classical! (what else do you have one of yugioh's greatest opponents to have??)I was expecting it to be a boring movie but it had changed my look on what to expect, well I bet the next one will be phenominal, as I would ... Well the only thing i didn't like about the movie, was the fact that they still used the old monsters, I thought Yugioh would've had some more high-tech monsters also Kaiba. They did but I already knew those Strategies, don't get me wrong I still loved the Movie!! Well what Yugioh had to do was Defeat Anubis to save the planet from destruction using Seto Kaiba's advanced dueling system which was designed so that you can feel the actual pain, but little did they know they were playing a shadow game and their life points lost were being absorbed by Anubis which brought him back to life. When Anubis came back to life, he had the cards I what you never seen. Also once again you can the friendship bond between Yugi Moto, Yugi Yami, Tea, Joey and Tristan being played out again. It was this same bond that helped them in duelist kingdom helped them in this World Devastating threat. And again, thanks to Yugi Moto's quick thinking, helped Yugi Yami to defeat the evil Anubis. Wow, what a Duel and the introduction of the Great THEINEN THE GREAT SPHINX was epic. The defeat of the The Sphinx was great, i knew that card was Return from a Different Dimension (i'm a great Dueling mind as well). Something else i didn't expect was Anubis making the effects and Damage of the Cards real, which gives my boy BLUE EYES SHINNING DRAGON to show his stuff and Banish Anubis forever. Anything i've learnt from this is when your'e in a tight spot you can always count on your friends and those around you. Also know how to use what you have to achieve your goal in life. See it's not just for the Dueling fun, there is something behind it too. Even though it came out so long ago I still recommend it. I'm going to give it a 5/5. Joey and Tristan hold off a mob of duelists wanting to duel Yugi for the Egyptian Gods (until Joey ends up dueling with and defeating all of them), with Yugi and Téa seeking refuge in Domino Museum, where they meet up with Yugi's Grandpa. They discover a new attraction on display, the Pyramid of Light, which resembles the Millennium Puzzle. Once Grandpa reads an inscription on the side of a sarcophagus, also part of the exhibit, Yugi has a strange vision about Kaiba. They wake up to find the pyramid stolen, the sarcophagus empty, Yugi wanting Téa to read him an ancient story of the pharaoh's past, and Mokuba standing outside. Mokuba says that Kaiba wants Yugi to come to the KaibaCorp Duel Dome immediately. Yugi does so, transforming into the Pharaoh on the way, and finds Kaiba ready to ... During the duel, as Yugi and Kaiba lose Life Points, they begin to lose their own life force as well. Before long, Kaiba has his Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon on the field, but to Yugi's surprise, he sacrifices it to summon an even stronger monster, the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. Kaiba wants to humiliate Yugi by wiping him out with his own Egyptian Gods; since Pyramid of Light removed the Gods from play, Kaiba plans to play Return from the Different Dimension to get them under his control. Kaiba commands his Shining Dragon to use its special effect, which allows it to sacrifice itself to destroy the Pyramid of Light. Suddenly, a ghostly voice calls out and the effect is canceled. Anubis, the Egyptian Lord of the Dead whom the Pharaoh destroyed 5,000 years ago, is resurrected by Yugi's ebbing life force and rises up from behind Kaiba, throwing him aside and taking over the duel himself, all in the hopes of having his revenge against the Pharaoh. Putting his faith into the cards, Yugi draws the Double Spell card, which allows him to discard a card to activate Monster Reborn from the graveyard. He uses it to revive Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon and destroys the Pyramid of Light, after it is weakened by Yugi inside the Millennium Puzzle, which also releases him, Joey, Tristan and Téa. Anubis then summons Theinen the Great Sphinx with the Pyramid of Light around his neck. Yugi then uses the Reverse of Reverse trap card to use the Return from the Different Dimension placed face-down by Kaiba to return the Egyptian God Cards and use them to defeat Anubis's monster. Anubis is seemingly defeated, but a giant jackal arises from the remains of the Pyramid and attempts to kill Yugi and his friends. Kaiba and Yugi join forces and summon the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, which destroys Anubis once and for all.

Betting his 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons shows how confident he is. Once he has the cards, he hatches a plan to trap Yugi into duelling him, and the duel commences. It doesn't take long for Kaiba to force Yugi into bringing out his God Cards, allowing Kaiba to use one of the two cards...The Pyramid Of Light. And with this begins the awakening of Anubis, once defeated by Atem himself and with every life point lost by Atem/Yugi and Kaiba, Anubis grows closer to his ... It's time to duel! My son is a great fan of Yu-Gi-Oh. He says the DVD is great, with a brilliant story line and interesting characters. The story is not only exciting, but has lots of humour in it. Teamwork is also a big underlying theme of the story. Inevitably, there are those in the story who are not team players and they generally come off worst. Yu-Gi-Oh is also a continuing story line and the best part is that you can see how characters progress and evolve throughout. Friendship and challenge are the order of the day. Tactics are also a big thing with Yu-Gi-Oh and make you think about how to approach situations and how to potentially get arounds problems. It is very positive and gives you an incentive to try hard to win in life generally. Yu-Gi-Oh is a great DVD to watch. Thoroughly recommended ... My son is a great fan of Yu-Gi-Oh.
