This is a really fantastic and useful tool. How it works is it fits in to the head stock of your lathe spindle. It is a replacement tool for turning between centres. Instead of using a catch plate and driving dog the work is driven by the 5 hardened teeth placed around the centre. It is more for mass production of shafts etc but it could be used for small batches and one offs.Really expensive to buy.
