PERCEPTION WHIP-IT SIT IN KAYAK

Description

The Whip It is a popular model from one of the top manufacturer's Perception with this rotomoulded and "bulletproof" material. This is the perfect introduction to freeride kayaking with a flat hull and pronounced rails. Even volume distribution gives predictable control and handling on river trips and when playing. Comfort is provided by way of an adjustable backrest and moulded seat.

Paddlers weight range up to 90kg and I would say maximum height for this model would be at 6ft. There are adjustable foot braces in the bow of the boat to lengthen or shorten your leg position to connect your knees to the side. These are assisted by the moulded thigh braces which can be removed if required but provide a nice snug fit. The position in the water is low profile for an optimum paddle stroke without hitting the sides which can be a problem in higher volume boats.

There is also a convenient screw drain plug under the bow carry handle for emptying excess water or drainage after cleaning. Carry handles are fitted fore and aft for easy lifting and at 18kgs it is easy to roof mount or hand portage to the water. Having paddled many Kayaks over the years, I have found this one to be stable, forgiving and fast for a sub 3 metre boat.

Condition

This boat is in excellent shape with less than normal launching scars on the hull. The interior is the best I've seen for a second hand model of this age and it will definately not disappoint. Finished in striking blue and white, always rinsed with freshwater after use and stored inside away from the sun with no fading or damage - 100% watertight.
