Antique 'Star' by Seneca Falls Metal lathe

Very rare American lathe made by the Seneca falls Co 

Originally Sold by the Fairbanks Co of New York

Very original oily rag condition 

Has 6" 4 Jaw chuck currently on the lathe
There is a 6" 3 jaw chuck to go with this
lathe but it has no back plate for going on the 
spindle.

I have the matching 3 speed cone pulley for the drive shaft 
which will be sold with the lathe though not pictured

There are 14 back gears to go with the lathe 
including the ones that are currently on the lathe

Has a 4 way tool post fitted

Morse taper 2 Tailstock 

Spindle bore = 7/8"
Distance between centres = 26 1/2"
Centre height from bed = 4 7/8"

Overall dimensions are as follows=

Overall length= 50"
Overall width= 21"
Overall height= 45"

Very rare early american lathe ideal for
displaying or using in the home workshop

The lathe is very heavy and will require at least 
2 people to carry.

Can be dismantled for collection
