A very rare Alvis car exported new to Australia. The cars was bodied there by Chas Kirkham of Parmatta Road in the shadow of Sydney Bridge which was also at the time being constructed. An apprentice at Kirkham's took time to make a chalk sketch of the bridge under construction on the inside of one of the door panels where it remains to this day!!! The body is utterly original in the form of an open 4 seat tourer.

The car is mechanically superb. The engine starts & runs easily & quietly. It pulls strongly in all gears, the 'box of which is a delight to use. This is one of those rare cars in very original condition & all the better for it. The engine is fitted with a factory two bladed fan that was only supplied on export cars going to warmer climes.

The interior sports black trim in excellent condition. There is a full length hood & also set of side screens that go with the car as does the beautiful bronze standing hare mascot.

The body is very very original. Some would leave it as is because it presents well. Others might wish to paint it & remove some of the minor time honoured blemishes. We would counsel a new owner deciding upon this course of action to coach paint the car rather then spraying it in order to keep it as correct as possible.

The car has not yet been registered, but we are about to do this as soon as the car comes up to us mid April from Cornwall. The previous owner just fitted 5 new tyres to the car mounted on the period artillery wheels.. We will sell it with a full years Ministry of Transport test in place.
