Insert Material Type PVD Coated Carbide
Grade Description Recommended for finishing of Stainless Steels when close tolerances, excellent surface finish or sharp cutting action is needed. Also recommended for Heat Resistant Super Alloys and Titanium Alloys at low speeds. Great resistance to thermal shock and notch wear also makes it suitable for long cuts or intermittent cuts.
Geometry Information

MF has a sharp, positive geometry with an optimized chipbreaker giving excellent chip control and surface finish at small depths of cut and small feed rates. A good finishing type light cutting geometry with low cutting forces suitable for slender shafts, thin-walled and unstably clamped components and where a good surface finish is a priority. The positive geometry minimizes the tendency for smearing (built-up edge formation) leading to good surface finish and long tool life primarily in Stainless Steels and HRSA materials.

Please note that although the actual physical inserts I sell are all new the boxes may be shop
soiled in one way or another such as being dirty, marked, unsealed, missing parts of labels or
any combination of these. It is very rare I sell inserts that are not in their original boxes and
so when I do I usually say so in the listing details. I try to list them accuratley in the item
condition details box but if I have multiple boxes some may be good as new and some soiled so
it is only a guide. If the box condition is important then please send me a quick email asking
what you would receive and I will be happy to answer.

I will always combine p&p for multiple items whenever possible and reasonable to do so.
