This laptop is great on price for performance, a...fter browsing many models and brands I went with another ASUS laptop as I have had one for 4 years straight (k53e model) that worked just perfect for me. While there are some nit picky things about the laptop the pros outweigh the cons considerably. Pros: Has a great i7 processor that doesn't seem to get under heavy load. Delivers the cold hand rests as promised as all the high temp components are located under the keyboard. Minor amount of bloatware installed on the laptop. Screen tinting program reinstalled for late night working so help with eye strain (eye care switcher) Two USB 3.0 ports, while a type C port seems to be picking on laptops I am content with the 3.0 port. Lightweight, at around 5 pounds it weights a little less than my old laptop at around 5.7 pounds. One year everything is covered warranty, I have never seen any company add this to their laptop lines. Easy to disassemble and remove parts roughly six screws and plastic groove locks and everything is open. Cons: The cheap plastic feel, while I know it does keep weight down with the plastic it feels a bit more flimsy than I would like. Touch pad, The software for two finger scroll works well most of the time it still glitches out and stops working for a few seconds if I haven't been using it for about and hour while it is still on. The hinges for the screen are more resistant than my other laptop making it a two hand opening type. One 3.5mm audio jack, I do not like the idea of the combination jacks for microphone and headphones but it does work. SD card does not go into the jack all the way, when inserting a card it goes about three fours of the way in and the rest hangs out on the side. CD drive is very cheap feeling, worse than any type I've seen before, while defiantly isn't a deal breaker, it should be noted. 4GB ram stick soldered onto the motherboard, it is a little bothersome to have a ram stick soldered onto the board it is by no means non-upgradeable as the second 4GB stick can be upgraded to 8GB if needed. Last but not least, the hard drive, 5400 RPM. While I replaced the hard drive out right when I receive the laptop the 5400 RPM drives are still under preforming and I would encourage anyone who buys this laptop to consider a better hard drive or an SSD. In conclusion I would consider this laptop an overkill for the majority of people who aren't looking for anything more than a web surfing machine, it gets the job done easily. While there are better laptops out there at this price point I would still consider this one of the better preforming laptops that is not meant for gamers. Side note you can still run games on this laptop if you choose as long as they are not graphic intensive. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a affordable laptop for business needs on the go.

It is a little slow when loading but otherwise it has excellent ...features. You aren't responsible for hackers trying to take over my computer with spyware and viruses. The reset feature is a great help in that regard. Can get Norton for Internet Security and more recommended by Norton for repairing files after getting rid of spyware and viruses. Cost for all of this a lot cheaper than what hackers suggesting to repair your computer which they have hacked. I don't make call to number on screen alert. It's the hackers. Just reset.
