All the tracks found on Saxon's two best albums with 11 bonus tracks, including some notable live performances. My particular favorites are 747 (Strangers in the Night), Wheels of Steel and Strong Arm of the Law. Well worth the money just for the extra tracks you get. Also comes in a normal sized case so no storage problems. Only one problem, their next album Denim and Leather is also coupled with Strong Arm of the Law, so unless you want two you can't really get both double albums. Overall, excellent for the money. All the original tracks with a few extras thrown in. If your a Saxon fan, then you'll love this!

SAXON - Still going strong
Yet another ebay purchased CD to update my collection, effectively replacing the vinyl copies I already have. This means I can play them anywhere, personal stereo, car, etc which you can only do with vinyl if you've a very long extension cord! What's to dislike about Saxon, who are still going strong all these years after they were at the forefront of NWOBHM in the 80's. If I didn't like them I wouldn't have bought the CD's. One BIG plus with these digitally remastered CDs is you invariably get additional bonus tracks, either different versions or live tracks, so more for your money too. Highly recommended purchase if your old vinyl or, heaven forbid, cassette tape is showing its age, or if you never bought one or other album in the first place - shame on you.

Saxon - how old am I?
Guess my age... Went to see them at the height of their powers and enjoyed it. Had it all on LP's, but wanted to upgrade to CD, so got two albums for the price of one. If you like 80's hair rock with heavy beat, try this, they were one of the best UK metal acts of the time. Can recommend Krokus, Judas Priest as well from this period.

as a band ,i really like saxon, but listening to the albums proved 1 thing to me,[just like thin lizzy] their songs really come alive when saxon perform them live on stage,as proven with the [terrific] live versions of the tracks.
