If you are fitting side pullers to an older pole that have very slender top kits, drilling a large hole will weaken the kit. These bushes only require a 5mm hole so the kit should retain most if not all of its strength once reinforced with a carbon wrap.

I finally attempted doing my own side pull to my Maver top kits. I spent a lot of time researching and opted for the reinforcing method. I reinforced a section with carbon wrap and when completely dried, sanded and polished I drilled a 2mm hole, then 5mm and inserted the ptfe Bush which went in like a dream. I would highly recommend the ptfe Bush.

Easy to fit, even for someone as cack-handed as I. Easy to use. Much, much better than the longer "slot" variety. If you're not geared up for a puller system yet, you can be confident that this will do the job.

What’s not to like about this pull it bung, small hole to drill when fitting, easily fitted into place but feels secure when in use. With it being a smaller hole to drill the bung can be fitted further up the top kit in a place more natural to pull and control the elastic. The strength of the top kit must improved with a carbon wrap. Only wish I had used the Middy Pull-it on all my other top kits.

Good product and easy to fit but a bit pricey for a small piece of plastic. Would have preferred to have paid half the price.
