I bought this card as an upgrade to my gaming x 1060 as I intend to upgrade my monitor to a 1440p and wanted to keep as much detail as possible in-game. The card itself is quite big and heavy, inline with the rest of MSI's 10 range. In the meantime I'm using it on my 1080p TV and as expected it does run great and at standard settings it flies along wether on the TV or my DK2 Rift. Overclocking with afterburner got me upto 2114mhz but a step above this made the card unstable. Using it at normal out of the box speeds is fine To be honest, It is a bit overkill at 1080p and the 1060 is the one to buy if sticking at 1080p res as there are no benefits as I found the 1060 coped well enough keeping frame rates well upto 60fps usually on the highest detail. But if you want more, at the moment although it costs more. I think its better value than the 1070 due to 1070 seemingly getting more expensive, so if upgrading and the price is right go for the 1080 you wont be disappointed..Read full review
