It's an excellent piece of hardware. Basically I needed a router with gigabit connectivity so I could connect my gigabit NAS device using wired connection as well as my laptop and TV wirelessly. The device is dual band so it works both at 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I assumed that my laptop would be able to connect to the router at both band and hence I would get 600MBps transfer speed. But be advised that this will not be the base, you can either connect to the router at 2.4GHz or at 5GHz but not to both. So your effective speed will always be 300MBps and NOT 600. However two different device can connect at different frequency and use the whole spectrum. The device is slow to boot up but after it is up everything works smoothly. I would recommend this router to anyone who needs gigabit connectivity. If you don't need gigabit then you are better off buying a less expensive model with fast Ethernet..Read full review
Great Router also a NAS storage device with your usb hard drive pluged into it. Easy to set up. and true dual band 2.4 & 5 ghz wirless networks. Simple to set up port forwarding. Lots of featurse you will prob never use. A good buy overall.
I bought this product to replace my previous Netgear wireless router that was great. This one is as well, very easy to set up, simple to use and very powerful as well. I spent a lot of time researching what was available in the market place and decided again on Netgear, I chose this model as it allows me to future proof myself
This router acts as a wifi hub connected to a satellite modem.It works perfectly with divers generations of equipment.The netgear set up helpline is superb!
I went for the WNDR3700 due to its dual band capabilities, and I must say I'm very impressed with it. I've had no dropped connections, the speed is always top notch and my connection status has rarely dropped below 100%. I like that the product can be wall mounted as it saves having to find a space for it, and it looks fantastic in gloss black. I bought this to replace the BT Home Hub and quite honestly this blows the Home Hub out of the water. Its configurability is much better, and I can tweak my QoS settings as much as I need to. Thoroughly recommend this product.
