What you would expect from a regular 3DS, but with a larger screen and the adorable face of Pikachu on the back. The store is easy to use and offers many game demos, which is particularly useful for picky gamers like myself to try games out before buying them. The 3D is great too, although it, along with the wireless, does drain the battery pretty quickly and it doesn't come with a charger which personally I think is pretty poor, but the console itself is great.
Love pokemon love games love handhelds !!!! Brilliant item

Fantastic product for young and old. The change from the DS to the 3DS is one that i approached with caution, due to the many complaints about the 3D idea. The difference between this larger version and the standard 3DS is a major selling point as the larger screens make for much easier gameplay and the visuals look even more stunning. The 3D is a bit daunting and can make you feel unwell if it is left on full power. Luckily, the slider bar on the side which changes the extent to which the 3D is used makes it a lot better and fun to play! The pikachu nature of this console makes it even more exciting, although it does hike up the price! It is worth the extra money to get a childhood hero around the whole of the console and makes the gaming experience a lot cooler (especially when playing the pokemon games!) On the whole it is a fantastic console, cool effects, cool skin!Read full review
Awesome product. Happy I bought it. 3D feature is spectacular. Screen is nice and big. Stylus makes touch screen functions easy to use and handle with more accuracy and precision. Good range of games from old school classics to a new range that fully utilizes the 3D feature and the dual cameras built-in on the handheld. Bought at the price of £174.99 and free p&p.
I had been wanting this console for a very long time, and I was not disappointed. The Pikachu 3DS XL is stylish, sleek, and lovely to use. Having such a large screen really makes the newer DS games stand out. But one of the cons I have noticed is that it does make the older games - such as an old favourite of mine, Dragonquest 9 - look quite stretched and pixelated. It is important to note that the inside of the DS is white, not yellow. I think this makes it a lot easier to focus on the game you wish to play. Typically, a charger is also not included. At the time of writing, I managed to get a 3DS charger for £4.99 at Game, expect the cost for a genuine charger to be from £5 - £15. Also, do note that the circular pad on the left side of the console can be tricky to use sometimes, and can easily get grubby. That's why I've rated 'Ease of Use' 4/5 stars. If you're keen to purchase this console, be aware that the box it comes with is fairly small, and while adorable, you may be able to save money by purchasing the DS without the box if it is something that does not concern you. On the other hand, the box would help keep the DS safe when it arrives to your door! You don't want any scratches. Finally, the New 3DS console will be coming out soon, so do keep that in mind when deciding whether to commit to this purchase. I would recommend purchasing this console from around £180 - £200 without the box, and £200 - £225 with the box.Read full review
