Bought as my first Apple device, based on high expectations of useability and integration to learn the Apple mobile operating system. Also I am fed up with the inability of my Blackberry 9105 to either text or make phone calls, the two most needed applications. With the latter, the predictive text is useless and calls are dropped at random.
Result- disappointed. The physical home button does not work meaning the touch screen one has to be used, there is no back button, to go back a step you have to start again in a lot of cases. Many of the features are not intuitive and I spend a lot of time on my PC asking how to? to find out how to execute features. The supposedly excellent apps do not include, either paid or free, the more useful ones I have for free on my Blackberry. The Flashlight and maximum volume are both disappointing by Blackberry standards and connection cables unreliable. Although I was able to transfer my contacts across, integration or synching, I don't know which, has duplicated all of them on the phone. I can't compare it with an Android phone as I have no experience of one but as someone who has always said I could pick up an apple computer and use it and pick up a Windows PC and crash it, I find the experience definitely underwhelming.
By contrast my grandson so difficult to separate from his Mum's iPhone 4S she has had to get another, but then he is only playing games on it rather than using it as a phone.
I already have an iphone for more that a year and using it as second phone in addition to my blackberry bold. iphone is very much helping with a ton of usefull applications it has, gps, etc.. but it will never replace bottoms and 100% of privacy which guarantied to blackberry users.
another thing about iphone is that you can't use it with one hand and it's big enough and use to fall down a lot. very easy for scratches, after 1 month of use you can through it out as it's used a big time. only way to carry in protection case, then it became even huger that it's already is.
This product is china made only software belongs to apple.
There are many phones which are a lot above in specification than i phone but these phone don't do marketing like apple for example motorola Atrix, samsung note, Htc sensation etc
Ok but get yourself the 4S ! .... Dose what it said on the tin : 0) The battery life is not that good but think this is because the i phone is trying to do everything ... If you need to use it as a phone get a power backup because it will probable be down to 5% power when you need it the most .... Easy to use .. Apple know how to make this work .. And work well . Sometimes you find it freezes SO hold out for a 4S
iphone 4 was built in a globle recesion and this is obvios due to the phones terible recepsion probs and the screen that scratches sooooo easy. What a shame.
I bought this because i thought it will work outside UK , but it doesnt ,so the description was very inaccurate.
But if i compare it with iphone 3g 16 gb this version is better. it has better LCD resolution , speed of cpu etc.
better camera 5 mpx.
Doesn't get any signal anywhere and overheats, too hot to hold after about 15 minutes of use and the battery drops very rapidly.
The phone arrived supposedly enabled for the Vodafone network. After several attempts to get it connected to the network I was finally informed by Vodafone that it was blacklisted which in their terms means it was either stolen or the original owner had failed to complete their contract. Despite contacting the original owner, I have been unable to get it removed from Vodafone's blacklist. Beware of purchasing unlocked iPhones!
well first of all its good to use BUT the mic speaker doesn't work and I never got told that so i cant even video call anyone because the speaker is messed up but overall its good
Too complicated for me, rings people on its own, put it to your ear and it thinks you are fingering it, and does anything it wants to, think you have finished the call and you are still connected, Have to go through Itunes to get an app, well I think so, wants your bank details. Good for a ten year old who knows about computers, but I dont want to go to school to learn how to use it. I can drop my Tesco £15 flip, but dont think this is so sturdy.
