Sexy, thin, rounded design. Same excellent user interface as in previous nanos. Built-in accelerometer shifts screen for horizontal viewing (like on the iPhone and iPod touch) and lets you shuffle songs by shaking the player. Genius feature creates on-the-go playlists around a single song.
No built-in mic—you need to upgrade earbuds to use the integrated voice recorder. Apple still hasn't upgraded those lame bundled earbuds.so I bought a new pair top notch item all in all.
This is one of the far by best iPod nanos to come out to date. One of the best features for me is the audio cross fade which mixes in all your songs on playback. The video playback is superb quality and if you connect this unit to a good quality Hi-Fi system the iPod is your DJ. The 4th generation sound quality is far superior to its predecessors. Apple has got this generation perfected.
Being a 46 year old techno phobe I was a bit nervous about getting one of these, especially after reading all the negative things about ITunes....But...I was fed up with a pile of Cd's stacked up and only listening to a couple of tracks off each cd so I decided to go for this one after reading the reviews.....and I LOVE IT!!! The design of it is really slim and sleek and classic and I love the purple colour too....I invested in a matching pair of earplugs (£8 off ebay), a cable to connect it to my hi fi (£2.50 off ebay) and a Bush 40watt docking station (£23 off ebay) so I could have music wherever and whenever I want it! The I tunes programme is SO easy too use and I just put all my favourite tracks off each cd which was a bit fiddly but means that there is nothing I don't like! I usually have it set to shuffle songs so I never know whats coming next and have even downloaded some tracks from the internet!!!! I like the fact it has a screen so you can see what track is playing and anything else you want to know! I went for the 16gb version as it wasn't a lot more than the 8gb and I thought it would last me forever!!!!! I wish i'd got one of these ages ago and would definately recommend it to anybody thinking of getting one.
My original nano was a used one from eBay. My 76 year old father was smitten, so all his CDs were duly put on it and I needed one for myself. What's not to like? It's tiny, light and sleek yet it packs a powerful punch. It holds an enormous number of tunes and the downloads/syncing from my desktop computer takes just a few minutes. I looked at the newer versions, but I much prefer the shape, size and weight of this little beauty, so purchased another used item. It's absolutely perfect for my needs.
Limited Edition ;)
Nothing over the top, videos, fm radio etc, just for the standard useage music, photos & watching videos on.
Its a great product & Apple should make more of these than the new nano 'shuffle look one'. I brought this product beacuse I learnt this was a limited edition nano & was part of the (PRODUCT) RED, a brand raising awareness & money to help eliminate aids in Africa. I wanted a red one for ages & it is very hard to get hold of. With it being RED it also sets you apart from all the other nano colours. They dont make this model nano no more, I was very lucky to find it on ebay in this colour. There is nothing about this product I dont like as it covers all the basics which is what I was after. Overall I'm very happy with this product.
This is a great little ipod. I have upgraded from my ipod shuffle and this is so much better! The picture quality is great - I have downloaded some music videos and they are brilliant. It has so many great features and it's very simple to navigate round all the lists. The sound quality is also excellent.
New to this game of dowloading music. Our old hifi died so had to buy a new one and it had an ipod doc. Well, just had to have one, didnt really want anything too fancy as was really only to store all our music to play in the house. Had previously had sony MP3 player which i found difficult to use. This one was a cinch. I was delighted to get all my cd's including some language ones for when i eventually get round to learning another language. Downloaded from itunes some jazz and blues for my husband and all so easy to find on player. Such a beautiful slim unit too. It was in excellent condition, can't say i can find any fault with it. maybe the circle you have to turn is a little sensitive but have got used to it now. i think it's great.
I know this is an old model now but this has a great sleek, tactile design, excellent capacity, funky colour, really user friendly, what more could you want.
I also have a samsung mp3 player, but i love all the facilities on the ipod. I updated because i wanted to put all my music on 1 device (well nearly all). I love the Genius button which creates playlists based on a specific track and use that a lot. Once one is used to using the device it's easy. Synching is easy too. I'm using podcasts a lot and means i can listen to my favourite radio programs when i'm free. OK so i could use podcasts on the samsung but the bigger storage on this ipod is worth the extra and makes it easy to download them onto the device.
I love the fact this ipod stores 1000's of songs and is so slim and stylish, You can listen to whatever song you feel like without having to worry about if you only have a enough memory for a few songs of your favourite tracks to pick from before using all the memory up. Im new to mp3's etc but reading other people reviews understand other mp3's can be limited with the amount of songs it holds, but this is simple to use, even though I got my daughter to upload tracks. It looks easy. Im really pleased with it.
