A good, quiet and fast drive.

Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ (1 TB, SATA III, 32 MB)

Having upgraded from a Maxtor 1TB SATA II, this hard drive seems immensely fast and quiet in comparison to the Maxtor. The Maxtor used to click and grind away when there was lots of disk access, but so far the Samsung appeared to be almost silent.

In-game loading times for Medal of Honor and Battlefield Bad Company has improved beyond all recognition.

I have generally been using Maxtor, WD, and Seagate (due to budget) for the last five or six years, but even though this was purchased cheaply, it seems on a par to the quality of the Fujitsu drives I used to buy back in the late 90s early milenium.

You should buy this product! its worth it :)

im glad i bought it, i really needed an upgrade on the HDD i previously had in my computer which was only 80GB and was way too small.the value for money is very good as i had done some research and it was the most cheapest i could find so its totally worth the money. its an easy set up and installation and is reasonably quiet and runs like a charm. for the price, in my opinion, this product is worth 5/5

Fast, Cheap Hard Drive

The Samsung Spinpoint 1TB hard drive rightly gets rave reviews as the best SATA PC drive available. It is sitting in my file server as one of a RAID 1 pair that stores all my download files from the Web and it does the job excellently. It was an added bonus to pick one up so cheap on eBay!

Upgrade to Sky+ HD Box (Amstrad)

Looked long and hard at suitable replacement hard drives for my old Thompson Sky+ HD box. Ordered this unit then Sky offered a free upgrade. I decided to bite the bullet and go ahead anyway with the brand new box. This unit is twice the size of the original hard drive, very quick and quiet, and so far working flawlessly. Well worth the effort

Good value

Good reliable Hard Drive. I use this as a backup drive and I have never had a Samsung drive fail on me, well, at least not one that did not give plenty of warning, unlike some other drives, I you ignore the warning then you cannot blame the drive.

Easy to mount and run near silent

Bought this to replace my WD 500GB Main drive as I need more space. Will clone the old drive to the new then reformat for storage.

Mounted easily and is extremely quiet, I actually thought it wasn't working. I had to buy a separate power connection converter as the 4 pin supplied with my PC were not commpatable. All in all so far so good.

Fantastic, reliable and good value for money.

Very good value for money, fantastic hard drive and it seems to be reliable. I've had one for over a year now with no problems at all. I've purchased another for a customer's computer and no errors. In my opinion the best 1TB hard drive money can buy in this price bracket.

Excellent Performance Drive! (Not suitable for Sky+ Upgrade - Noisy)

Ok, first off - if your looking to upgrade your Sky+ box with one of these bad boys, *don't* - it's noisier than the WD Green series alternatives and will drive you bonkers when it clicks constantly through your recordings.

However if your looking to get one of these for your performance PC or Server - it couldn't do the job better. Very fast read/write speeds and excellent reliability. You won't be disappointed!
