It's a Playstation 1!
Most of you will have heard of it... but for those who haven't...
It is the original machine from Sony. It uses Discs and was the most powerful machine of it's type when released. It is now badly outdated in terms of technology but is still very fun to play.
There is a huge selection of games for the playstation including titles like Crash Bandicoot, Rayman, Gran Turismo, Toca Touring car series, Tomb Raider etc. The list of classic games is endless.
You can also play CD's on the playstation through your TV.
The Playstation requires a memory card to save games.
There are many types of controllers for the Playstation, I would recommend a 'Dual shock' controller as the original ones are light and don't feel as good to play.
The Playstation is very easy to use. It does not connect to the internet, it is simply plug and play and has no subscription fees.
Standard, the Playstation has 2 ports for controllers, you can purchase a 'Multi Tap' to enable further controllers to be connected.
Now the Playstation is very inexpensive, as are most of the games and equiptment for it.
A brilliant games system, with really good graphics and you can hook up two controllers and two memory cards.
You also can play CDs on this system and it's no bigger than the PS2 in size, you can hook this system to the aerial input of your TV or by connecting it the red, white and yellow connections or even to the Scart connecter on the back of your TV with special connector.
The sound and the graphics are really good on this system.
I got this system because it had good graphics and sound.
10++/10 gamming system.
Groundbreaking.I clearly remember getting this much revered gamebox and fell in love.Tomb Raider,Metal Gear Solid,Resident Evil and Syphon Filter to name but a few.Astonishing graphics and stellar sound combined to make this the definitive games console of its day and a must have for millions.Perfection.
Fantastic piece of gaming history one of the first early models released by sony boosting the audiophile ports for HQ audio playback.
This is one if not the defining console that projected us to were we are today with current consoles opening the way for artists to design great looking 3d games and push the hardware further.
I have my ps2 connected to my lcd via a component lead this means that most ps1 games wont play only signal carried is the audio so having this in collection means i can enjoy the classics yet again the way they meant to be played forget emulation!
the graphics may be dated on this machine but, the game play is as good as any machine i've tried, the games are now so cheap that it makes great value for money. my kids love it and so do the grown ups. it's easy on the wallet and so much fun.
It takes me back to my earlier days, it's amazing how things have progressed over the years and to go back in time. games have also inproved from basic now 3D it's just a shame that the younger generation are not able to appreciate what changes and all the hard work people put in to make the product.
The Sony Playstation console is an excellent entertainment system for anyone who enjoys playing the old classic video games. I love this product because it's a top-loader and easy to use. The games for it are brilliant some aren't really in my interest e.g racing games but enjoy the occasional shooting games, lots of fun!
I can honestly say that there nothing that I dislike about it, it is perfect in every way.
This is surely going to be a classic of the future. I bought this as my old one broke through over use. I love that retro game play as much as the quality game play from my PS2 and PS3. I now have a full series of these Sony consoles and look forward to the PS4 also. I have never been a fan of the Xbox as the controllers are big and over complicated were as the Play Station controllers have so far never changed, making it easy to play any game on any version. I highly recommend you buy these Sony variants of computer gaming. You won't be disappointed.
The best console ever, a must for any retro gamer, or a cheap toy for a young child. Available second hand super cheap & has a huge library of games. A lot of the games are still very playable. Obviously not as good graphics as more modern consoles, but they're still a lot of fun. Can't complain for the price these go for.
I bought this console to relive my mis-spent youth! What I love about them is that they are remarkably simple in comparision to their 21st century counterparts. A cracking piece of retro gaming equipment, yes the graphics may be poor but that is just a taster of gaming past.
