Tekno Diecast Cars, Trucks and Vans

Tekno is one of Europe's leading producers of miniature trucks. The company has been producing Tekno diecast cars, trucks and vans for many years. Teckno made its first miniature model in 1928 in a basement in Copenhagen and it is now based in the Netherlands. While there are vintage Tekno diecast model cars available, today Tekno diecast trucks are the only vehicles the company produces.

The most common Tekno diecast miniature cars were Tekno miniature Volvos. The company developed a reputation for realism and accuracy, and some of its miniatures were used by Volvo as promotional models. As well as Volvos, other examples of diecast Tekno cars include Oldsmobile Toronado, Jaguar X-KE and the Mercedes-Benz 230 SL.

Some of the Tekno diecast cars have a high level of detail at 1:43 scale. Details include an opening bonnet, boot and doors, an elaborate engine compartment and wheels made in three separate parts; realistic rubber tires, painted wheel rims and metal caps.

Tekno diecast vehicles many of the world's leading truck manufacturers are produced off the shelf, which include DAF, Scania, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz and MAN. Each type is built in variants such as having different cab variations or different bumpers.

The company produces bespoke Tekno diecast models for its clients by either adding branded livery to trucks, using paint and decals, or building an entirely bespoke truck from scratch.

Miniatures of branded trucks, such as the Tekno Scania trailer diecast vehicles , are often produced to the finest and most precise detail, including flashing lights, air horns, spot lights, pallet boxes, side skirts, opening doors, toolboxes and realistic rubber tyres.
