Mould blown and facet cut glass vase, with sommerso light blue and dark blue, cased in clear glass. Two of the sides are heavily textured. You should expect some age related signs of wear such as very small fine surface scratches/marks.
This is a "sommerso" style glass vase referring to the technique used rather than the maker Murano Sommerso. I am not sure if it is by a Scandinavian glass maker or the Italian Murano. In any case it is a beautiful item, but I'm having a clear out.
You need take no other action at this time. "Emmaus Sheffield is a charity which supports the homeless. We are South Yorkshire's first such community; a place where people who were formerly homeless will find somewhere safe and welcoming to live; a place where they can rediscover their dignity and self-pride through being part of a working community geared towards becoming self-sufficient through social enterprise.".
This blue vase has no chips, nibbles or cracks etc. There are however, dark marks which show through the body just above the applied decoration. It still displays quite well but I have reduced the price to account for it. The vase is 19.5cm high with a rough pontil. I will post immediately upon payment, thanks for looking.
