These turned out to be a SILVERLINE product; they are pressed steel case hardened and of slim design; very fit for the purpose.

These slim spanners are designed for bicycle maintenance, but are tough enough for other uses. I needed a spanner (16mm) to fit a nut between a caster/castor wheel and a tub, where a standard spanner was too thick. A set of specifically designed slim mechanics spanners cost a small fortune, so these "bike" spanners looked like they would fit the task in hand. Surprisingly well built for such a slim spanner, and could take a reasonable amount of torque without any sign of deformity. Certainly strong enough to thread M12 nyloc nut all the way through, and there's a fair bit of torque required to turn these once you're all the way on the plastic thread. Coated in a durable paint, I'm sure they will last for many years, and be of much use where a standard spanner won't fit.

I purchased these not for being used on a bike but for my fishing platform attachments. The attachments only have very narrow bolt faces and the cone spanners were ideal for taking and putting them on. They are surprisingly strong and robust, unlike the previous 'flat spanners' I had purchased that failed / bent when being used.

very useful for all cyclists, a must have item. Works well.

The deep jaws and thin profile allow too much flex on tight cones, they will do the job but tend to get stuck on where they have flexed. Separate spanners would be better, allowing for shallower jaws, or a much stiffer steel is required.
