Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR 12.0 MP Digital Camera - Silver
The Fuji F200EXR does exactly what it says; colours are vibrant and clear, the zoom although just 5x optical has the option to choose digital zoom. The camera is light and small enough to put into your top pocket, it has a quality feel to it. The main feature of course is the HDR side of it (High Dynamic Range) this goes all the way up to 800% so you can be sure to capture any image whether in low light or shade. Taking photographs in HDR mode primarily does two things; Takes a photograph ...

Canon EOS 500D / Rebel T1i 15.1 MP Digital SLR Camera - Black (Kit w/ EF-S IS 18-55mm Lens)
Firstly I would like to point out that I am not a professional. My knowledge of digital SLR camera's although varied is to say the least borderline professional. At first glance the camera looks robust and yet pleasing to the eye, it harbours more settings than most will use and has a very clear 3 inch LCD screen on the back. My first impressions was that it felt a little 'plasticky' however unlike the camera's of old one has to remember that this camera is made from hi...

How to cover ARTEX!!
Covering Artex is easy providing you stick to a few simple rules;  Firstly check the Artex to make sure it is sound by tapping it, if all is well then mix some PVA (most diy stores sell it) to a consistency of 3:1 (3 parts PVA to 1 part water). Using a good emulsion brush apply the PVA mixture to the wall and let it set/dry, this will take anywhere from 30mins to 2 hours, once dry it can be left for as long as you wish before the next stage, which is? PLASTERING! I know, it's not as easy...

How to Dot and Dab
What is Dotting and Dabbing? It is a means of securing a flat smooth wall with which you can paint/paper without plastering if need be, sounds like your cup of tea?It is simple enough; Firstly make sure that you have sound walls and that there are no bits of mortar sticking out, if so remove them with a hammer (watch your eyes!).  A common size plasterboard is the 2400 x 1200 x 12.5mm, beware! These boards are heavy so get someone to help you lift them.  Cut a strip of plasterboard f...

Levelling a wall...
Have you ever noticed some walls in the house (especially kitchen) where cupboards are leaning inwards or outwards?  Perhaps a stair-wall that looks as though it is falling in? or maybe even a chimney breast that looks a little 'wonky'?This tutorial will teach you how to get the wall 'plumb' that's level to you and me ;)Firstly one must ascertain how much 'out of level' the wall is, an easy way is to grab a piece of timber (say 3x2 inch by 3 inch long) and place it at the top of the wall...
