Greetings from the windy heights of West Yorkshire.
I am a hobbyist who makes a little (and I do mean a little) money by 'rescuing' old computer components - I buy what I think I can use and sell the rest.

PC Chips PCCHIPS, AMD (MB-810LMR) Motherboard
These are perfectly good little uATX MBs for a low end system (£20 and lower) adequate PCI and OB graphics are okay for basic operations (WP,surf, email) some people criticise PC chips MBs but this one was fine and suited the testbed application I had for it perfectly - caution however when changing the CMOS battery, the metel clip is VERY fragile

basic low end chip for elderly platforms, does the basics well and perfect if you want a basic and cheap as chips build (£20 or less) , speeds are dinosaur by modern standards but you dont really need a Quadcore to web browse and send email...sometimes elderly is just what the doctor ordered.

Bought this to replace some kingston in a P4 2.93 rig - seems solid reliable memory that performs well , you would'nt game with it but you generally would'nt game with 1GB banks anyway. I have used Samsung and find it to be a reliable brand with solid but not earth shattering performance.Ideal for office or single and lower end dual core rigs.Cheap as chips too.

How to pack a Hard Drive
SUSPEND USE CARDBOARD AND AVOID JIFFY BAGS - HOW NOT TO DESTROY A HARD DRIVEI buy and sell computer componentry and want to share a few quick observations and perhaps share a little wisdom...when I first started selling the units I used to wrap in a anti static bag, bubble wrap and then place inside a cardboard sleeve. I had a few DOAs and decided  to review my procedures. Since doing so I have not had a unit failure and want to share my tips.DO: Weigh the unit BEFORE you start packing i...
