Paul McCartney - Wild Life (1993)
This is a really patchy record to be honest. After McCartney's fantastic first two solo albums, this is a bit of a disapointment. Thankfully he regained his focus for the follow up Red Rose Speedway. The title track is the standout song here.

The album is fantastic, and is about as good as post beatles Macca gets in my opinion. The overall sound is not a million miles away from the second half Abbey Road. A must for any Beatles fan.

If you are a McCartney completest then you'll no doubt buy this record regardless of any reviews you read. Be warned though, this is a very very average album! While there are a couple of cracking tunes ('From a Lover to a Friend' is superb!) the production is pretty cheesy and dated! The vocals are also quite dry, making Paul's ageing voice sound quite fragile at times. While this album may tower above some of Paul's worst records like Pipes of Peace and Press to Pla...
