The series is 'After Constable' and the plates depict The Cornfield and the larger sandwichplate depicts The Leaping Horse. The smaller plates have an attractive fluted edging and are in super condition for age.
The pattern is - 'The Elsa'. This is a beautiful pale Yellow background with a Gilt. and there is a floral display in the centre. The backstamp dates it to c1936 - 1954. Any Ireland/N Ireland/Scottish isle /Highlands/Isle of Man, and any other.

TEN 1936 - 54 SALAD / DESSERT PLATES BY GRINDLEY WITH A BLUE AND ORANGE FLORAL PATTERN. ONE PLATE IS BADLY CRAZED AND A CRAZE LINE HAS DISCOLOURED ONE PLATE ON ONE INDENT ON RIM HAS A COUPLE OF NIBBLES DONE IN FACTORY AND GLAZED ANOTHER PLAVE HAS A V CHIP TO RIM DONE IN FACTORY AND GLAZED THIS PLATE ALSO HAS A FEW CRAZE LINES GOLD COLOUR TO RIMS IS RUBBED BADLY IN PLACES VERY FEW UTENSIL MARKS.
