The tail of the boar forms the pouring lip. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any other obvious evidence of restoration. This is what we believe to be a 19th century glass decanter in the form of a boar.
Overall in excellent antique condition but as the manufacture was quite crude along the bottom base is rather rough to touch. Also note that along this base there are a few nibbles which don’t affect the overall presentation of this beautiful antique item.
This is a composition of six hand made white, purple and red glass birds with long glass fibrous tails under a glass dome. The circular footed base is made of wood. The piece is in very good condition with minor age wear to the base.
