Antique Longcase & Grandfather Clocks

This clock is used daily and has a good strong tick. It has a solid brass face with spandrels to the corners. The clock would be okay in any modern house and should fit inside a car for transportation because the top hood is removable.

A lovely Rolling Moon Oak and Mahogany Longcase/ Grandfather clock by Kennedy of Macclesfield. There is one Kennedy of Macclesfield listed in 'Clockmakers of Cheshire by Keith Appleby': 'KENNEDY Mark MACCLESFIELD Clock & Watchmaker Chestergate 1841 - 50'.

An early example, (late 1700's?). The clock is in good working order and has been re-gutted serviced and cleaned. The date wheel is not working and has been poorly painted, see photo. It also strikes at 3 minutes past the hour.

On the dial. The case I think is made of solid oak, which is in quite good condition although there are a few small dents and scratches which I have tried to cover. The weights have beautiful engraved scrolling on them and so too has the pendulum bob.

If we start with the hood, this has a superb arched top which incorporates a lovely deep moulding. Lovely spadrels to the corners. On the hour is also strikes the hours. If we then move down to the trunk it has a lovely shaped full length door.
