    This is a superb example of antique English glass dating to the late Georgian period. It is a stirrup cup engraved with vines with gentle vertical ribbing to the body. It has inclusions and bubbles to the glass as is typical of the period. Measuring 17cm tall it is in reasonable condition with small chips to the bottom end and nibbling and a 2mm shallow flake off the top rim (hence the low price). This is a delightful piece, and a must for the collector of antique British glass due to it's rarity.

    A rare late Georgian cover for an urn or vase - very large - it is hand blown and hand cut, and the faceted knob is hollow. I'd date it to between about 1810 and 1840 Size: 12 cm (4 3/4 inches) wide x 14 cm ( 5 1/2 inches) high. It would fits in an opening of about 8.5 cm diameter Condition: Good - there is a some wear and a couple of nicks to the top of the finial - See the photographs that show condition clearly.
