With all-new design features, the iPhone X releases on the 3rd November 2017. Redesigned from the ground up, this brand new iPhone features a 5.8 inch Super Retina screen with durable glass on the front and back. Another ground breaking feature for an Apple product, the new iPhone X is waterproof for up to 30 minutes in a depth of one meter. The new iPhone 8 stays true to the classic design whilst utilising some of the updated versions of the iPhone X.
Under the Hood
The new Apple iPhone X and 8 use similar internal technology, the only difference being the X features 3GB of RAM compared to the 8’s 2GB. In comparison to the iPhone 7, the CPU performs 25% faster whilst the graphics processing is 30% quicker. This boost in power ensures that you’ll have no issue handling day-to-day tasks on your phone with no delay.
Excitingly, the iPhone X uses a cutting-edge facial recognition software. This system uses a three-dimensional scan of your face and even recognises you with sunglasses or a hat on. The X features an extra 12 megapixel camera with 2x zoom, perfect for catching those further away shots. Optical image stabilisation actively works to stop any blur in images and makes for smoother video.
Older iPhone models are still a viable option for anyone not looking to buy the latest release. The iPhone 7 Plus features a Retina HD display with a 12MP camera capable of capturing 4K video. The Touch ID functionality lets you get into your phone without a password whilst Apple Pay gives contactless payment capabilities. The iPhone 6s is also still an impressive device. Choose from 32 or 128GB models in rose gold, gold, silver or space grey. Siri comes as a standard alongside AirPlay Mirroring, letting you output your display to compatible devices. New iPhone SE models are available, offering more than enough functionality for the smaller price. Using the same A9 processing chip as the 6s, this model features an impressive 12MP camera and a 4 inch Retina display, making for a compact yet functional device.
