Aria Electric Guitars
Aria is a Japanese manufacturer of guitars and basses. The company was set up in the late 1950s and began selling acoustic guitars from 1960 onwards.
Aria branded guitars were manufactured under licence by another Japanese musical instrument company – Matsumoku.
As well as designing their own range of styles, Aria are well-known for the guitars they produce that are based on other famous types of guitar, such as the Gibson Les Paul and the Fender Telecaster.
Types of Aria Electric Guitar
Different models and styles of Aria electric guitar include:
- Aria Telecaster copy – based on the styling of the legendary Fender Telecaster guitar
- Aria Stratocaster copy – an electric guitar based on another of Fender’s famous body styles – the Stratocaster
- Aria semi acoustic guitar – semi acoustic means it is able to be played without having to be plugged in, in the same manner as an acoustic guitar, as well as with the amplification that is provided by using electricity
- Aria electric mandolin – as well as their range of guitars, Aria also produce other electric string instruments, such as a mandolin
Aria Electric Guitar Accessories
- Guitar strings – often required as spares to replace broken strings as the tension and playing of the strings can see them break frequently
- Guitar strap – one of the most classic images in popular music is that of a rock guitarist standing on stage playing a guitar. You can recreate this look with your own guitar strap
- Guitar plectrum – the plectrum is used for playing the strings of the guitar, either by picking the strings individually or strumming them all in the same motion
- Guitar case – if you want to protect your guitar, you’ll need a case. Available as soft, lightweight varieties or more sturdy hard body cases
