Classic 1940's styled day dress, good quality crepe material with printed Art Deco geometric design. Sleeves are 3/4 length with gather at the shoulder but no shoulder pads. Front opening with 16 spiral designed buttons. In good condition considering age, I brought it in the 1980's from a vintage shop and it has been stored away for most of this time as I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it. Any questions please ask!!
The original matching belt creates a peplum affect. The V neckline is edged with diamante which continues down the centre font to create a diamond shape. It has inverted pleats to the skirt. This is a genuine sixties dress with an art deco look.
Wonderful 1930s Art Deco Cocktail Dress created from champagne silk silk crepe. The straps are long and delicate, at the back there is a fishtail kick pleat. The measurements given were taken when the garment was laid flat and relaxed.
The dress top is fine lace onto which floral applique has been integrated into the design, not added on later. As you can see from the photos, when worn the shoulders and arms are nude under the lace but the high neck and rhinestone collar means that the overall effect is totally discreet.
Superb 1930s royal blue dress with stunning art deco features, including a mock cape style bodice, saw tooth design on the skirt, & geometric early plastic buttons. The dress has a contrasting white filler (it has been hand tacked into place, so could be removed if desired), & leg of mutton style sleeves, with close fitting cuffs.
The dress is made from a black silky rayon that drapes beautifully. The fabric is adorned with a lovely dainty floral print in red, yellow, pink, off-white and with green foliage. order size 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22.
