Antique brass hot water jug or ewer by Joseph Sankey and Sons Marked on the base JS&S, MADE IN ENGLAND, SOLID BRASS, 4, W The 4 indicated that it holds 4 pints 28.5cms tall The pattern is "lizard skin", also found described as "crocodile" It has the lower handle design where the handle is attached below the lip Would have been designed between 1896-1914 Good antique condition At least 2 pin dents in the smooth spout section and a couple more to the handle, but nothing terrible A small split in the top rim, less than 1cm (see photos) Overall, a good, solid piece.
