Possibly French in the Thonet style. Comprises two central large bentwood hooks, two slightly smaller either side, all 4 top hooks have French type turned wood hooks underneath. A wonderful bentwood hall stand dating to around 1900s.
This hat / coat / umbrella stand is a very good quality piece of original Bentwood furniture, and it date to the 1960s. It's well constructed and made from solid beech, and the nicely fashioned removable top section features 6 S shaped / swan neck hooks which are connected by a circular ring, while a circular ring also connects the upper and lower part of the nicely fashioned splayed legs.
This is a fine quality and original antique English Edwardian beech Bentwood demi-lune hallstand, in the manner of Thonet, circa 1910, in excellent original condition. The top section features a crown of 4-curved “s” shaped coat hooks above a large central turned column, which is topped with a turned beehive finial.
