  • Antique Mason Porcelain Marked Miles Mason Tea Bowl & Saucer Two Temples II 1810

    A reasonably rare, highly collectable antique early 19th century, English porcelain teabowl and saucer marked on the base with a Chinese type seal mark flanked by the name Miles Mason. They have a very attractive blue and white Chinoiserie transfer printed pattern known by collectors as the Two Temples II variation Broseley, originally produced in 1780 by Caughley from a Chinese original. See the TCC database patt # 10029. Mark 1807 -13, see the Raven Mason collection at Keele University. Miles Mason operated from Lane Delph, Staffordshire, England. Teabowl 1 7/8"H, 3 3/8" D. Saucer 5 5/16" D, 1 1/8" H. weigh 172g unpacked. They are in very good antique condition. Saucer has a hairline to the rim, tea bowl some minor body staining no chips nor restoration.     A highly collectable antique English porcelain teabowl & saucer from we believe to be the renowned Keeling Factory of Shelton, Hanley, Staffordshire, England. It dates from circa 1805-10. This hand painted polychrome enamel Chinoiserie pattern consists of two large blue rocks with an ornate bridge, painted in iron red, between them. There is also an ornate fence with flowers and a long stylised "willow" with blue flowers and red berries.There are no makers marks, however there is a decorators mark on the base of the teabowl.Item Condition: Very good antique condition, Some glaze bubbling or fritting to both items. There is some rubbing to the enamel on the saucer. No chips cracks nor restoration. Please see the photographs and description.
