Different types of formal shoes
Boys' formal shoes can come in different shapes and types such as slip-on shoes , which are good for youngsters due to their comfort and convenience. These can be excellent school shoes as they're easy to slip on and off for things like PE. No laces mean these are also very easy to wipe, clean and polish.
Boys' lace up shoes however, are more old fashioned and stylish. Lacking the convenience of the laceless shoe, they appear more formal and traditional and most importantly, can be tightened if the fit is not as snug as required.
Lace up shoes can come in different styles such as leather brogues with textile interiors and non-slip rubber soles to shoes that resemble the shapes of trainers but are in formal black leather.
Another type of boys' formal shoe, which is probably the most popular and easiest in regards to getting on, are shoes with velcro straps. These are great for young boys due to how easy they are to get on and off, and initially can give children more independence especially if they don't yet know how to tie laces.
These shoes can also be more comfortable purely due to the velcro strap deciding how tight you would like your shoes to be.
